Watch the lake for whitecaps. Not only does a Southerly hit the landing before it hits the takeoff, the Rugby Field is down in a bowl... not a good combination.
A Northerly flow can swirl around Bowen Peak and up takeoff.
Just cuz it's "blowing in", doesn't mean it's good.
Do not chase the Acro boys onto Queenstown hill.
They go there when it's very strong and they have extremely fast gliders.
